Love of customer service

My passion and commitment to excellent customer service is at the heart of everything I do. I believe in creating an environment where the client’s voice is the driving force at the very heart of Wild Flourish Design from first meeting to final delivery.

I love all things creative; cooking, art, interior design and flowers are just a few passions that have always resonated with me. The desire to make things beautiful and presented to an exceptional standard has been with me since I was a child.

Love of flowers

The emotions they evoke in others and the emotion that I feel when I’m working with flowers is a constant source of joy. There is an energy in each flower and being able to use that to create pieces of art which accompany people during the most significant moments of their lives is something so special.

I consider myself to be incredibly lucky to work in an industry that is forever evolving and developing with influences as diverse as fashion, interior design, food, religion, the seasons and the natural world. The possibilities are endless and only limited by our own imagination.

How I became a Florist

I have always been intrigued by the use of flowers and floral art and have been fascinated by how influential they are and how they can change the feel, look and emotion of a room or event. I first came into contact with top level professional florists while working at a five-star country house hotel and have been in love with the industry ever since. I have worked at numerous florists in England and France and love to incorporate both traditional and more naturalistic styles to give my clients something truly unique.

The journey

I began my creative journey with flowers when I started volunteering at a local florist whilst also working full time in hospitality. I did my research, worked hard and was incredibly lucky to find a lovely florist who became my mentor. She was so full of knowledge, patience and enthusiasm for flowers and the industry that I knew I had struck on something incredibly special.

She had, and still has, a wonderful team who all share the same ethos, who welcomed me in and helped me on my way. To my absolute delight after three months I was offered a paid position. Looking back, I was a bit shell shocked actually! I gave up my hospitality job to work full time with flowers. I knew instantly that I wanted to do this forever. It combines everything I love; people, service, styling and nature at her very best so it was a very natural transition for me.

Background before becoming a florist

Before working with flowers, I have always been in customer facing roles within the hospitality and catering industry. I have a huge passion and respect for that industry. I have worked front of house in two Michelin star restaurants, Galvin at Windows on Park Lane and Lucknam Park in Wiltshire. I truly loved and learnt so much about delivering exceptional customer service

It’s about everything being done perfectly, working as a team, using a wealth of knowledge and coming together to achieve something incredible. In a sense it’s a performance, with the client at the heart of every moment.

These experiences have most definitely shaped the way Wild Flourish works with its clients, striving for perfection in all that we do.
